Technician Vacancy

Excited at the prospect of using lighting, sound and tech to help tell a story in a live theatre environment? If you're eager to use your tech knowledge, grow your skills, and be part of an encouraging and dynamic team, this could be the role for you.

Saltmine Theatre Company have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced technician to join the team for the Christmas period. Working alongside a professional team of actors, writers, directors, designers and office staff, this position is perfect for an experienced technician looking for their next challenge.

Technicians are involved in everything from configuring, setting up and operating sound and lighting equipment, to working alongside our Creative teams and our Logistics Manager from the rehearsal stage through to the tour. Productions take place at a variety of locations throughout the UK, and the teams work hard to present a consistent and memorable experience for every audience.

You will have practical experience in the use of modern lighting & sound equipment and associated technologies, be a team player, have drive and initiative, be committed to excellence and identify with our values. Saltmine Trust is a Christian charity, there is an occupational requirement under schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this post to be held by an active, practicing Christian. Preferably, you will be able and willing to drive (and have a full, clean licence) and be familiar with health & safety regulations and working practices.

We need someone to be able to start with us on 6th November 2017 and work through to the weekend of 6th / 7th January 2018, with a break from 22nd December to 1st January.
